What JobLink Is Designed For
JobLink is a focused productivity tool designed to support individual, quality-first job applications. It is not a bulk application tool. JobLink never submits applications on your behalf, never contacts employers automatically, and never generates documents for use without your review and approval.
1. What Data JobLink Accesses
JobLink accesses the following data locally on your device or on services you control:

2. How We Use Your Data
- Job data is written to a folder in your own Google Drive that you configure during setup. JobLink does not read, copy, or transmit this data anywhere else.
- AI features (CV tailoring, cover letter generation, job evaluation) send the job description and your profile documents directly from your browser to the AI provider you have chosen. This is a direct browser-to-provider connection — JobLink is not in the middle.
- API keys are used only to authenticate those direct requests to AI providers. They are never logged, transmitted to JobLink, or shared with any third party other than the provider you configured.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. We do not use cookies, pixel trackers, session recording, or any form of analytics.
3. Third-Party Services
JobLink integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their own privacy policies.

JobLink does not share your data with any other third parties.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- Google Drive — all job files (JSON, HTML, PDF documents) live in your Drive. You can delete them at any time from within Drive.
- Browser storage (
chrome.storage.sync) — extension settings (folder IDs, API keys, preferences) are stored in your browser and synced via your Google account if Chrome sync is enabled. This data never passes through JobLink servers. - Uninstalling JobLink removes all locally stored settings. Files already saved to your Google Drive are not affected and remain in your Drive until you delete them.
5. Data We Do Not Collect
JobLink has no backend server. We do not collect, store, or process:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- The content of job postings you save
- Your CV, cover letter, or any profile documents
- Your API keys or OAuth tokens
- Usage statistics, feature telemetry, or crash reports
- IP addresses or device identifiers
6. Children's Privacy
JobLink is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, note the change in the extension's update release notes.
